George Nuttal Close

Millcam Builders began complete stripping out several domestic flats before re-fitting all rooms to a high standard.

The project involved

Replacing internal doors, checking and refurbishing external doors and windows; general internal fittings, coat rails, wardrobes, curtain poles, cabinets; supply and lay carpet tiles, vinyl flooring; complete redecoration with wall finishings and removing of tiles and retiling, patching plaster; installation of kitchen fittings, furnishings and equipment; sanitary and electrical installations; complete overhaul of plumbing; fixing ironmongery and bespoke joinery.

196 Sturton Street, Cambridge

Millcam built a new extension and garden to this large semi-detached Victorian townhouse in central Cambridge. The house is in a conservation area, so careful notice had to be taken of the materials used, the finished design of the building and the quality of the interior fit-out.
The project entailed adding a new garage, creating a new living room, en-suite bathroom and additional bedroom; extending and refitting the kitchen; and remodelling of the existing dining room to create a utility room and downstairs cloakroom. The garden was also rebuilt using an existing design, creating a stunning patio area with retaining wall.

The project involved

Major groundworks and enabling works to create the extension to the side of the dwelling, this involved expanding and re-routing the plumbing and electrics, setting out and constructing a steel framework for support, brickwork in specialist ‘cambridge’ bricks and roofing to all tie in carefully and be sympathetic to the existing house
Internally the project involved remodelling the ground floor kitchen and dining room whilst creating and connecting new spaces on both the ground and the first floor. The interior decoration involved high quality carpentry, plastering, and decoration to incorporate the bespoke shelving, hi-spec kitchen and designer sanitaryware. This was all finished to the Clients high standards.
