Millcam Construction was delighted to win a Certificate of Excellence for Smaller Valued Projects from the City Council recognising that they always go the extra mile to be considerate contractors.

The firm was presented with the Considerate Contractors’ Certificate of Excellence at the Cambridge Confederation of Construction Industry awards. This prestigious award is only given to contractors who go above and beyond legally required standards of good practice to ensure that construction work does not make life unpleasant for people who live and work nearby.

Millcam’s Managing Director Nigel Mills said: “I am very proud that we have won an award that recognises our efforts to be good neighbours. We understand that building work can cause inconvenience for those around us and always strive to uphold the best standards of professionalism and courtesy towards those affected; We know adhering to good practice rules will always enhance our reputation as a professional and caring company. This is just part of commitment to excellence in all of our working standards.”

The Considerate Contractor scheme is run by Cambridge City Council and is a voluntary scheme for any contractor in the city.
